About the Author — Mary Rathbone

I am a Lay Reader (Licensed Lay Minister) in the Church of England.

My life has been shaped by both trials and triumphs, and by a deep desire to help others find hope in Jesus. Through challenges and blessings alike, I’ve learned that God often meets us quietly in the ordinary moments of life.

I trained for ministry at the Diocese Theological College and was licensed by the Bishop of St Albans to preach, teach, and lead worship.

For many years I worked in communications at IBM and later ran my own digital marketing consultancy — experiences that taught me how to communicate clearly and connect with people from all walks of life. I now draw on those same skills as I shape this blog.

This is my way of sharing my faith in reflections that I hope will encourage and strengthen you. I write about faith, Scripture, nature, hymns, and the small signs of God’s presence that we so often overlook.

My prayer is that these posts offer comfort, clarity, and the steady hope of Jesus, wherever you are on your spiritual journey.

You are warmly welcome here.
