About the Author — Mary Rathbone
I am a Lay Reader (Licensed Lay Minister) in the Church of England.
My life has been shaped by both trials and triumphs and a deep desire to help others discover hope in Jesus – over time I’ve come to appreciate that God often meets us quietly in the ordinary moments of life.
I felt the call to ministry later in life and after three years study at the Diocese Theological College was licensed by the Bishop of St Albans to preach, teach, and lead worship.
Prior to this I was employed in marketing by IBM for many years, and later ran my own digital marketing consultancy — these experiences are of great value in helping me shape this blog. This is my way of sharing the lifelong hope I’ve discovered in Jesus.
I communicate my thoughts and experiences through reflections written to deepen, encourage, and strengthen faith, I write about my own walk with God, Scripture, nature, hymns, and the quiet signs of His presence that we so often overlook.
My prayer is that these posts might offer comfort, clarity, and the steady hope of Jesus, wherever you are on your spiritual journey.
