My name is Mary Rathbone and I serve as a Lay Reader (Licensed Lay Minister) within the Church of England.
Shaped by a lifetime of trials and triumphs, I have come to appreciate how God often meets us quietly in the ordinary moments of life and feel a keen desire to help others discover where Jesus might be in their lives.
Having felt the call to ministry later in life, I undertook three years of study at the Diocese Theological College. I was subsequently licensed by the Bishop of St Albans to preach, teach, and lead worship.
This space is where I share my lifelong journey—one that has consistently led to my abiding hope in Jesus. Drawing on my background in corporate tech marketing and digital consultancy, I use my business experience to help develop the blog.
I write to encourage, and strengthen the faith of others. Sharing from my own experiences, I explore Scripture, nature, hymns, and the quiet signs of God’s presence – so often overlooked.
My prayer is that these posts might provide comfort, clarity, and a steady hope in Jesus—wherever you are on your spiritual journey.
