The country and The Queen celebrate 70 years of service

Romans 13: 6-7

In his letter to the Romans, St Paul said;

‘This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing.

 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honour, then honour.’

Reflection:

Today we celebrate 70 years of service from Her Majesty The Queen to her country and the Commonwealth.

St Paul tells us in Romans 13 that God established governments and authorities, and we should respect and honour those in high authority.

We give thanks for Her Majesty The Queen today and all she has accomplished in the 70 faith-filled years of her reign, both at home and abroad, in government and the Church – today, we pay respect and all honour to The Queen.

Let us remember to pray often for her and those in government worldwide.

We give thanks also to God for the long life and good health of His good and faithful servant, our Queen Elizabeth.

God save The Queen
